Waikiki is a district of Honolulu, in the south of O'ahu, one of the Hawaiian Islands, and has one of the world's most famous beaches, with the beach of the same name.
From the beach, there is a view of the Diamond Head extinct volcano to the east. On the beach itself, there is a statue of the Hawaiian athlete Duke Kahanamoku. Waikiki beach is also a place of many cultural and entertainment events, such as surfing competitions, outdoor performances of hula dancers, and kayak races, which occur at different times of the year.
The main shopping street of Waikiki is Kalakaua Avenue, named after King David Kalakaua. The most prominent hotels in the city are also located on this street. At the eastern end, just in front of Diamond Head, is the Honolulu Zoo. The famous Waikiki Beach is famous for its monument to the Hawaiian sports star Prince Kahanamoku.
The warm climate and foamy waves are perfect for surfing. Tourists love it! Waikiki's coastal waves are known to roll for a long time, making them an ideal destination for advanced and novice surfers.
